Major Publication by the Tsadra Foundation

The Tsadra Foundation has recently funded a major publication, the 42 volume collected revelations of Nyala Terton Rangrig Dorje (1847-1903), one of the great visionaries of the 19th century Tibetan lands. He was the student of Nyala Pema Dudul (1817-1872) and the master of Nyala Jangchub Dorje, in turn the teacher of many important religious figures of our time. The publication reproduces carefully the perhaps unique manuscript Ase Lumo Rab Gon in Nyagrong.

The Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation Group for Tibetan Studies

Beginning in early November, TBRC and the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation will be convening two groups that will meet at the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation (17 17th St, NYC). Each will meet once a month, two weeks apart. The first is the Tibetan Literature Reading Group, a group for the reading and discussion of Tibetan language texts. The second, the The Rubin Foundation Group for Tibetan Studies will be a group devoted to important Tibetological scholarship, and from time to time will host visiting Tibetan and non-Tibetan scholars.

Major Publication by the Paltseg Group

A major publication by the Paltseg Group, the first thirty volumes of a collection of writings by early Kadampa masters, has just appeard. These volumes are facsimile reproductions of the original manuscripts recently found at Drepung and in other collections throughout the TAR and Sichuan; edited editions of some, perhaps thirty volumes, will eventually be published by the China Tibetology Publishing House in Beijing
